Gassho to Basho
Haru nare ya
Namo naki yama no
Through all of the years, Basho’s words still have impact. So few words and so much impact. There was a time when a young man would take the words of poets and read them aloud on nameless mountains. Those mountains have changed so little. The young man is older and no wiser. If anything I am more of a wheezer and a geezer. There is so much I’ve become blind to in these years. Oh to be on the mountain and seeing once more that mist.
