Always something

I'm reinventing.

I build my own turnouts for my model railroad. Some people call these switches. Anyway, I cut my railroad ties and I cut and file my own rails. I came up with a way that the turnouts locked into position. THey seemed to work but I found them hard to operate. They also didn't keep the rails in contacts sometimes.

So I'm reinventing.

I'm drilling out the toggles on electrical switches; I'm having to fashion my own drill bits (I need longer ones in small sizes), and I'm designing my own mounting brackets.

Now I'm up under the layout having to modify some of the supports so that the brackets fit.

Of course I'm still not sure whether my desitgns will work. Mysteries.

LIfe is full of mysteries.
