People seem to be captured by rain. Most of us no longer farm for a living so that isn't the reason. Maybe we're worried about bad hair days or getting wet. Heck, most of us don't even hang clothes outside.

I admit it. I watch the weather channel. Where's the rain? What does the radar show? How much time have I got before I need to get to safety inside?

The world gets slightly quiet when it rains. People hunker down and wait. So do ants. Maybe that's why I like the rain. Life slows for a second.
