OK it's not built on sand but I'd have concerns about these footings. The recent six inches of rain roared down the hill and exposed this section. With Hanna out in the Atlantic I'm wondering what the builders, sub contractors, and others are considering. An engineer I talked to said that they might have to cut out this section and re-dig and re-pour. When we got the big storm a couple of years ago there was a small waterfall just about in this location.
